A: She is a 50-year-old passionate artisan from Satara who crafts these pickles and empowers local women by involving them in the traditional production process.
Q.Does this pickle contain vinegar?
A: No. We do not use synthetic vinegar. The tanginess comes naturally from the Gavran mangoes and the traditional sun-curing process
Q.What makes Gavran Mangoes special?
A: Gavran (native) mangoes are heirloom varieties. They have a sharper tang and a firmer texture that holds up beautifully in a pickle compared to commercial varieties.
Q.Is the oil refined?
A: No. We use only wooden-pressed (cold-pressed) groundnut oil. It is extracted without heat, preserving its natural antioxidants and nutty aroma
Q.Why use Saindhav Salt instead of regular salt?
A: Saindhav (Rock Salt) is unprocessed and contains natural minerals. It is traditionally considered better for digestion and overall wellness.
Q.Is this pickle spicy?
A: It has a medium spice level—enough to give you a kick, but balanced by the tang of the mango and the aromatic fennel and coriander seeds.
Q.Is it safe for children?
A: Yes! Since it is free from chemicals and synthetic preservatives, it is a much safer option for kids who love a tangy side with their meals.
Q.Why is the shelf life only 6 months?
A: We refuse to use "dead-keeping" chemicals. Our pickle is a living, natural product, and we recommend enjoying it fresh within 6 months.
