Kokan's Black Pepper, known as the “King of Spices,” is sourced from our dedicated farmer, Pandurang Rane, who has been practicing natural farming in Kudal for over 15 years. Black pepper, derived from the plant Piper nigrum, is one of the most popular spices globally. It is grown in regions like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Konkan, Pondicherry, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The peppercorn is the fruit of the plant and can produce black, green, or white peppercorns based on its harvesting, processing, and drying stages. The harvesting season for black pepper is from November to March, and the process includes handpicking, hot water dipping, and sun-drying to ensure premium quality.
